Soft washing is a gentle, yet highly effective method of cleaning building exteriors. Soft washing generally involves applying a professional cleaning solution, allowing it to do the work, and then gently rinsing it off. For clarity, we use a variety of methods depending on the situation to clean a building facade. Sometimes we rely solely on products to achieve the desired results, while other times we use specialty brushes on telescopic poles to gently agitate stubborn areas.

Our vehicles are equipped with a wide range of tools and products, because no two surfaces or environments are the same. Rather than using a one size fits all approach, we select the safest and most effective method based on the surface, the type of buildup, and the surrounding environment.

Maintenance Tips

- Schedule regular soft washes to prevent buildup of minerals, pollen, and organic matter that can stain or degrade surfaces

- Use the right product for the right surface. Avoid harsh DIY chemicals. Many off the shelf products contain strong chemicals that are not suited to many of Wanaka's Architectural Designs. We have a lot of darker finishes, wooden features and Aluminum facades that some DIY products can cause irreversible damage too. The wrong chemical or wash technique could etch powder coated Aluminum systems for example. Always refer to the manufacturers guidelines and research industry standards and techniques
